COPPA Notice to Parents

Last updated: 2026

Beacon Bridge LLC ("Beacon Bridge," "we," "us," or "our") provides behavioral health services in North Carolina, including for youth. Some clients we serve are under the age of 13 ("Children"). This notice explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal information from Children in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Before a Child under age 13 receives services that involve the online collection of personal information, we obtain verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian ("Parent"). We will not collect, use, or share personal information from Children under age 13 until that consent has been provided.

Information We May Collect from Children Under 13

  • Name, date of birth, contact information, and health information necessary for treatment or care coordination.
  • Audio and video content from individual or group telehealth sessions in which the Child participates.
  • Communications the Child sends to us (for example, messages or forms submitted through our website).
  • Persistent identifiers such as device identifiers and IP addresses used to operate, secure, and improve our services.

How We Use This Information

We use Children's personal information solely to deliver clinical care, coordinate services with other providers, communicate with the Parent, bill for services, keep the platform safe, and comply with the law. We do not use Children's information for behavioral advertising and we do not sell it.

How We Disclose This Information

  • To vendors and service providers (for example, our EHR and secure hosting providers) that support our operations under confidentiality obligations.
  • To other treatment providers, health plans, and Medicaid where necessary for treatment, payment, or health care operations.
  • To our legal advisors and to comply with applicable law or legal process.
  • To protect the health, safety, and rights of the Child, other clients, our staff, or the public.
  • In connection with a business transition (such as a merger or reorganization), subject to the same protections.

Parent Rights

As the Parent of a Child under 13, you have the right to:

  • Review the personal information we have collected from your Child.
  • Request that we delete your Child's personal information.
  • Refuse to permit further collection or use of your Child's personal information at any time.

To exercise these rights or to withdraw consent, contact our Privacy Officer using the information below. Please note that withdrawing consent may prevent us from continuing to provide services to your Child.
