Care that sees you — all of you.
Compassionate, identity-affirming behavioral health for individuals across the gender and sexuality spectrum.
Beacon Bridge provides therapy, medication management, and peer support in an environment that affirms who you are. Our clinicians are trained to hold space for the specific stressors LGBTQ+ people navigate — from coming out and identity exploration to minority stress, family conflict, and trauma.
Whether you're seeking gender-affirming mental health support, working through a hard family conversation, or looking for a therapist who won't make you explain the basics — we're here.

Frequently asked.
Quick answers to the questions we hear most. Still unsure? Call (833) 496-0445 — we're glad to talk it through.
What does 'affirming' actually mean here?
It means your identity is the starting point, not something to explain or defend. Our clinicians are trained in LGBTQ+ mental health, use your correct name and pronouns, and understand issues like minority stress, transition, and chosen family.
Will you use my correct name and pronouns even if they aren't legal?
Yes. You tell us how you want to be addressed at intake and it's used across your care — front desk, clinicians, portal — regardless of what appears on insurance documents.
Do you write letters for gender-affirming medical care?
Our clinicians can provide readiness letters for gender-affirming care when clinically appropriate. It's an individual process — we'll talk through what's needed at your first visits, without gatekeeping.
Do you work with LGBTQ+ youth?
Yes. We support LGBTQ+ children and teens, and we work with parents and caregivers who want to show up well. We follow NC law and clinical best practices around confidentiality for minors.
Is this confidential — including from family or my insurance's paperwork?
Sessions are protected under HIPAA. We're mindful of what shows up in claims and communications and will talk through privacy concerns at intake so there are no surprises.
Does Medicaid cover this?
Yes. NC Medicaid and most commercial insurance cover therapy, medication management, and peer support at Beacon Bridge — including for our LGBTQ+ clients.
